Talk to a person

One email address, read by a human, answered in about one business day. No phone queue, no ticket number, no chatbot pretending to be a colleague.

What to put in your first email

You will get a far more useful reply if the first message contains the things we would otherwise have to ask you for.

  • The date you need shirts in hand. This is the fact that determines everything else.
  • Roughly how many, and whether the size range includes children or sizes above 2XL.
  • What the shirts are for, in a sentence. Reunion, tournament, volunteer day, birthday.
  • Whether an organization is paying and needs an invoice.
  • Your order number, if this is about an order you have already placed.

Things worth emailing about

A written quote

Pricing on this site is not final. Send the quantity and size split and you will get a figure in writing that we will hold to.

A design review

Before a group run goes to print, we will tell you honestly whether the type is readable at distance and whether the artwork will hold up on your garment color. It costs nothing.

A tight deadline

Ask before you start designing, not after. If your date will not work you should find out on day one.

Something that arrived wrong

Send a photograph and your order number. A print defect is our problem and you will not have to argue about it.

That link opens a message with the useful questions already in it. Delete what does not apply. If your mail app does not open, write to orders@maketheshirt.com directly.

Weekdays, 9am to 5pm Eastern. You will normally hear back within one business day. There is no phone line and no chatbot: every reply is written by a person who has looked at your order.

Questions

How quickly will I hear back?

Usually within one business day, during weekday working hours in the Eastern time zone.

Is there a phone number?

No. Everything is handled by email, which means you get an answer in writing from somebody who has actually looked at your order.

Can I get a quote before I design anything?

Yes, and for a group order it is the sensible order to do things in. Send quantity, size split, and your date.
